System Status
Shared Email/Shared Calendar not available in Outlook with new Teams created as of July 1, 2018:
In the July 2018 update for Microsoft Teams, Microsoft has chosen to make the newly created shared email/shared calendar not usable in the Outlook interface by default (which allows your team to be able to be emailed from the public global address list.) If you would like to change this for your newly created Team, please contact our Service Desk at 773-702-5800 between the hours of 7:30 – 18:00 or email ITServices@UChicago.edu and let them know the name of your Team that you would like to enable.
Office 365 notifications (including Teams/Yammer) not received:
If you do not have a mailbox within Office 365, you cannot receive emailed notifications from several Office 365 applications, including Teams and Yammer. The Office 365 team is currently reviewing potential options to fix this (expected resolution by September 2018), but in the meanwhile, to get this resolved for an individual – please contact our Service Desk at 773-702-5800 between the hours of 7:30 – 18:00 or email ITServices@UChicago.edu and ask them to provision you with an Office 365 mailbox. Once you have the mailbox, you will need to set your email forwarding in Office 365 to point at wherever you would like to read your email (or read your email in Office 365 directly.) This will allow emailed notifications to flow correctly.
Compatibility Problems with iOS 11 native Mail app for Office 365.
This issue can be resolved by updating to iOS 11.0.1. View the release from Apple support here.
Issues when forwarding to iCloud:
Forwarding email to an iCloud account from Office 365 is problematic at this time. Some messages coming from Office 365 to an iCloud account are identified by Apple as spam which prevents the forwarding from successfully completing. These blocked messages are detected and blocked before it reaches the inbox. For further information please refer to this article from Apple.
